Jason Thacher is a Senior Attorney with over a decade of experience representing clients in complex family law matters across Colorado. He has handled more than 600 cases throughout his career and brings extensive first-chair litigation experience to the firm. Jason has appeared in courtrooms across the state, skillfully advocating for clients in divorce, custody, and post-decree matters. His background includes significant work in high-asset and multi-jurisdictional cases, as well as matters involving trusts, financial disclosures, and international considerations.

Jason’s practice is centered on helping individuals and families navigate some of the most challenging moments in their lives. He is known for his calm, strategic, and solutions-focused approach in emotionally charged situations. Whether the case involves complex property division, parental responsibility disputes, or urgent requests for temporary or emergency orders, Jason provides steady guidance and strong advocacy in and out of the courtroom.

With more than 100 hearings and mediations first-chaired, he is prepared to litigate when necessary, but remains committed to pursuing efficient, client-centered resolutions whenever possible.

Experience in Criminal and Civil Litigation

Before focusing his practice primarily on family law, Jason served as a Deputy District Attorney and later represented clients in criminal and civil litigation. This experience strengthened his trial skills, case evaluation abilities, and ability to manage high-volume caseloads. His background working with victims of crime continues to inform his empathetic and trauma-aware approach to client representation today.
