Shana is an experienced attorney who has been practicing all facets of family and juvenile law and criminal defense for over 18 years. She specializes in working with clients of varying backgrounds, including mono-lingual Spanish speakers, Native Americans, and other culturally diverse clients. As the daughter of a first-generation Peruvian immigrant, she understands the unique legal needs of those communities and is highly skilled at guiding her clients through the American legal system, which can be intimidating and overwhelming, especially during emotionally turbulent periods of life.
Shana is a very talented litigator, having spent many years in the courtroom as an advocate for her clients in dissolution of marriage, child custody, and support, post-decree modification, domestic violence, and dependency matters, as a guardian ad litem for children accused of committing crimes, and as a public defender in simple misdemeanor cases up to serious felonies.
Shana was chosen to participate in the Arizona Bar Leadership Institute because of her involvement in the immigrant community, where she was a trusted leader. She also regularly appeared on the radio show “Contacto Total” where she answered listeners’ family and criminal defense legal questions live.
