Taylor G. Goldschmidt
Associate Attorney
Taylor Grace Goldschmidt is an Associate Attorney at Johnson Law Group. She represents clients in divorce and other family law matters, including allocation of parental responsibilities (custody), parenting time disputes, child and spousal support, and property and debt division.
Taylor is known for being thorough, prepared, empathetic, and responsive. Backed by well-rounded litigation experience and a hands-on case management style, she is also lauded by clients who appreciate her ability to deliver thoughtful, practical legal solutions amid trying and turbulent times.
Family Law Practice
Taylor’s practice includes contested family law disputes from early case assessment through resolution. She has experience with the full range of litigation demands that can come with high-conflict cases, including motion hearings, mediations, depositions, discovery, and trial preparation. She is also experienced in drafting and organizing the written work that drives family law cases forward, including pleadings, motions, trial briefs, memorandums, declarations, and discovery requests and responses.
Taylor takes a hands-on, detail-oriented approach to case management. She works closely with clients to define priorities early, evaluate options with candor, and pursue outcomes that fit the facts and the client’s goals, whether that means pursuing a negotiated resolution, preparing for contested hearings, or litigating a case through trial when necessary.
Education and Professional Background
A Colorado native, Taylor earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of Colorado. She received her Juris Doctor from Florida International University College of Law in 2020, where she earned Dean’s List recognition multiple times and participated on the FIU Law Moot Court Team.
During law school, Taylor also served as a Guardian ad Litem Volunteer in Miami-Dade. In that role, she assessed children’s living situations, prepared reports, and attended court proceedings. This experience has strengthened her ability to carefully evaluate sensitive facts and advocate for children's well-being.
Taylor is licensed to practice law in California and Colorado.
In addition to her family law background, Taylor has experience in employment and consumer protection matters. That broader legal foundation can be valuable when family law disputes overlap with workplace concerns, contracts, or financial issues.
Outside the Office
Outside of her legal practice, Taylor enjoys spending time outdoors with her golden retriever, trying new restaurants with friends, and cheering for Colorado sports teams.
