Professional Experience

Tyler Prescott is a family law attorney in Johnson Law Group’s Colorado Springs office, where he represents clients throughout El Paso County, Pueblo County, and southern Colorado. A Colorado Springs local and graduate of the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, Tyler has built his career helping families in his home community navigate divorce, child custody (allocation of parental responsibilities), and child support matters.

Since entering practice, Tyler has focused on domestic relations litigation at Colorado Springs firms, handling cases from initial pleadings through trial. He has drafted pleadings and motions, conducted discovery, led settlement negotiations, and argued numerous cases in Colorado district and county courts. That courtroom experience means clients get an advocate who is equally comfortable negotiating a fair resolution and litigating when a fair resolution is not on the table.

Tyler‘s path to family law runs through victim advocacy and public service. During law school, he interned with the Rhode Island Office of the General Treasurer, where he drafted decisions for the Crime Victims Compensation Program and helped develop new state regulations. He also began his legal career supporting family law and divorce cases as a legal assistant, and spent three years as a content analyst for LexisNexis, editing citation references for courts across the country.

His undergraduate training in psychology shapes how he practices: he pays attention to the people behind the case, not just the pleadings, and works to keep clients informed and prepared at every step.

Tyler earned his Juris Doctor from Roger Williams University School of Law in Bristol, Rhode Island, where he served as Treasurer of Phi Alpha Delta. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, where he was a member of the Psi Chi International Psychology Honor Society and completed the UCCSlead Leadership

Past Experience

Before joining Johnson Law Group, Heidi’s general civil litigation practice focused on domestic relations/child support and custody, business litigation, and consumer litigation. She has a proven track record of securing favorable outcomes for her clients, including establishing defined visitation schedules for grandparents and negotiating advantageous pre-trial settlements in business and consumer disputes. Additionally, she has tried over twenty-one cases to bench and jury verdicts as the first chair, often surpassing expected results.

Personal Background

Tyler lives in Colorado Springs, where he also completed his undergraduate studies and began his professional life before law school. Having represented families across El Paso and Pueblo Counties, he understands the local courts and the communities they serve. He believes families facing divorce or custody disputes deserve straight answers, steady preparation, and an advocate who treats their case like it matters, because it does.
