The Eighth Judicial District covers Larimer and Jackson counties, and its domestic relations dockets sit at the Larimer County Justice Center in downtown Fort Collins. Our Harmony Road office is roughly 15 to 20 minutes from the courthouse, depending on traffic. Colorado’s e-filing system also lets us file and track most case documents without a trip downtown.
The Justice Center houses a Court Resource Center that assists self-represented litigants in Larimer and Jackson counties. Under Colorado’s domestic relations rule, an initial status conference is set no later than 42 days after the petition is filed. Attorneys on both sides can file a stipulated case management plan instead.
