Englewood divorce cases are filed with the Arapahoe County District Court at the Justice Center in Centennial. Since Colorado reorganized its judicial districts in 2025, the Eighteenth Judicial District covers Arapahoe County alone. From our Inverness office, the Justice Center is about five miles northeast, roughly 10 to 15 minutes by car.
Arapahoe County also keeps a courthouse on West Littleton Boulevard, but that building houses county court, and divorce is a district court matter. Attorneys file Arapahoe domestic relations cases electronically, so most paperwork never requires a trip to Potomac Street.
Under Colorado’s domestic relations rule, an initial status conference is held no later than 42 days after the petition is filed. Attorneys on both sides can file a stipulated case management plan instead.
